Is your child interested in learning about apprenticeships and the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program??
In partnership with Loyalist, St. Lawrence colleges, and Algonquin College, the OCDSB is offering a series of 3 apprenticeship planning webinars - one in April, May, and June.
These webinars are designed to overview almost everything a high school student needs to know about the apprenticeship pathway. Each session will be led by Candace Carson, a School-to-Work transition specialist, who supports youth in navigating the period between high school and employment. As a result of her experience as an Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Coordinator and Pathways Consultant for one of Ontario's largest school boards, Candace is able to provide youth considering apprenticeship a clear and individualized learner pathway to employment.
There will be handouts to support the learning from each session. You are welcome to attend one, two, or all 3 sessions!

Apprenticeship pathway post high school: create your personalized exit plan
Intended Audience: OYAP students who are graduating high school and hope to continue on an apprenticeship pathway.
